(standing up) Les Paul Vixen into Mk111 JCM900
the Vixen is light and tasty and a carefully dialed Mk111 = every good marshall tone in a small combo.
the vixen came as a realization while I was playing it, once I backed off a bit I could hear how much les paul tone was oooozing out.
and it`s good on the back, nice and light. so it`s the Vixen.
(Sitting down) Hamer Callifornian something about the height of the neck when the gat is on your lap. engineered by players for players, brilliant design, iconic 80`s shreader looks great in the lounge room.

There are still some that think the neck PU is moved to accommodate the extra frets which only proves they cannot detect the difference in length of each.

LP Special into an AC30 because I'm a bit of a boring, meat-and-potatoes kinda guy.
Oh.
And it sounds great. Vox mids-jangle, crisp highs... Add a Hotcake, and we're away.
Very unforgiving if I'm having an off night, but that is something I really enjoy (the amp trait, not my off night).

What ever is closest at the time I want to play guitar.
The older I get, the more disappointed in myself I become.

I'm disappointed that we're 4 pages in and nobody as thought to link the Princess classic this thread is named for. So here you go.
Anyone else reckon the conversation at her record company went 'Hey, that Prince guy is pretty big, we should have a female version...'

Number one amp… none. Most of my gear resides in an apartment I use as my office. My practice amp with master volume at 0.25 of 1 (about as low as it goes to still be audible) elicits banging from the upstairs neighbour and banging from the sideways neighbour, usually simultaneously, within about 2 minutes of the opening riff of “Rock You Like a Hurricane” (usually the only thing I play). At 11:30am on a weekday. WHY THE FUCK AREN’T THESE PEOPLE WORKING.
I once read (before the interwebs so it must be true) that Jimi Hendrix did most of his playing on an unplugged electric. So I’m glad we have one thing in common.
Number one guitar… can’t do it. I rotate the herd somewhat evenly. With some exceptions. Pointy guitars aren’t conducive to couch playing (-4) and acoustics aren’t conducive to my rock star fantasies (-2). But everything else gets a dusting.
