Testing the Rosewood Water...Incoming Suhr Antique
Ok thought I'd try it on. Have a mate in Portland next month who can pick it up in person if it turns to custard, so incoming:
This is a Classic Antique, which comes with the ML (Martin Landau) singles as opposed to the V70s in a Classic Pro.
And that Fauxjo.
Before you point out the obvious, yes I have just had a surf green, however my first choice of yellow is literally not for sale anywhere currently without a custom order, and this is the cool thin skin jobby where the grain is semi-visible.

Good on you! I am a great supporter of other people taking risks.
They keep telling me tone is in the fingers, but I have yet to see a "look at my fingers" thread.

From shop, and the risk is whether I can get it shipped without a Rosewood Nazi at customs closing the door on me

They reckon it's a non-issue but until I see the whites of its eyes...Conway wrote:From a dealer/shop? Any discussion about the rosewood issue?

German efficiency for you. I wonder what's happening in the Ununited States of Trumpland though - word was certification was going to take up to 90 days.Olderama wrote:Aparantly Thomann are turning away sub 1000 euro guitar orders

Unless of course it was made in Mexico then they send it out immediately with its relatives.Conway wrote:Olderama wrote: I wonder what's happening in the Ununited States of Trumpland though - word was certification was going to take up to 90 days.

Apparently it only matters for Indian Rosewood if you are importing more than 10kg at a time.
But I don't want to be a guinea pig for that, so let us know how you get on
