Is that GS7 ex-Oleg?

Actually, it is Oleg's. We are currently in an appraisal period. Or put another way, I've been avoiding him.

Yeah, he keeps telling me he hates it. He’ll figure it out soon enough though.

Hate is the wrong word. I've never met a guitar that was so hard to understand. I know what I think now so we should get together soon. :D

Yeah, I’m just yanking your chain :-)

In truth that guitar surprised me also, it’s like going to Bunnings to buy a screwdriver and getting home to find you actually bought a sledge-hammer.

I know you're yanking my chain. :D
And continuing the tool analogy, I was looking for a machete but I think I got a scalpel.

Now the D41; that's a machete.

After some work over the last few weeks comprising a cleansing, new bone nut, new ebony bridge, new bit of leather on the tailpiece, refret with medium frets, new flatwounds and a good setup... This is playing very nicely now...

Just need to put something on the bridge screw posts to cover the ends, some sort of dome screw will do.

Mornin' all,
This is the guitar I use mostly these days, but I do have a few to choose from (a lot more than in the background there).

I have put Nylon bridge saddles on it and use 9-42 GHS precision Flat Wound strings in an attempt to give it a more 60's feel and sound.
It's a 2003 Peerless made one.

Cheers

Nice, love them blondes. Note that the guy who can repair your headstock has left the forum.

That's the correct headstock for that guitar though...

Why would it need repairing.... it's not broken?
I know people have had them shortened to look like Gibson ones but I'm OK with it as it is.

Cheers

Just a bit of banter... Forumer here undertook a wee headstock improvement project which left a few people scratching their heads.
