Did a gig other night with touring band from Aus "The Floating Bridges" got our friends "Filth Dog" to come along, was a good night at the Kings

I did sound at a gig last night and Filth Dog were one of the bands. Good band. Good guys. They went down really well.

yer they are, got them doing the Pukekohe V8 gigs with us, next sat at 50yr anniversary. possum borne statue gets unveiled ...and then right after that twat Len Brown finishes his speech, we go on, then Filth..... and then following weekend for fan trail at V8's. But get this, they don't own a fuckin PA system? wtf? lol.... so hope they get one sorted for 13th an 14th

Fairly rare for us to get that many people. L-R -- my sister (who normally plays flute, not singing), Dad on acoustic, Geordie on banjo, Anne and Michael on singing, me on incompetent electric, and Julie on unplugged acoustic.

Why would they own a PA?

No offence but, if you're organising the gig, it's normally you who'd provide sound and lighting.
Or, if you expect the band to provide it, it's normal for them to charge extra. Even if they own their own PA. Someone's got to lug it, set it up, mix the gig, pack it down and lug it home again.

Are these Pukekohe v8 gigs being paid for by the v8 organisers? Wouldn't they have production budget?
