Fuck that's the price of a good guitarCarnage wrote:So, these guys are touring soon and playing Animals, Dark Side, and Wish you were here in their entirety.
From what I've read and seen on YouTube they sound pretty good, but here's the thing... tickets to this gig are between $100 and $120!
I'll never get to see the real thing and these guys are apparently pretty close to it. Anyone seen these guys play before in the flesh (pun intended)? If so, are they worth the premium ticket price?

That's good to know. The Jimi Hendrix Experience started that I guess - they used to sound just like the real thing most of the time.
They keep telling me tone is in the fingers, but I have yet to see a "look at my fingers" thread.

If you're in Auckland you should go to the Pink Floyd night at the Stardome planetarium where they play 2 Floyd albums back to back with their star show. Amazing stuff. Pitch black darkness, laser beams and shit, and galaxies wheeling past your eyeballs.

Re: Pink Floyd Experience - any good?
They are really good and put on a really great show.
I'd personally be as bold to suggest that my Pink Floyd band (http://www.eclipseband.co.nz/) has a better 'Gilmour' and possibly we get the sound of PF slightly closer. But the PFE do a great job of really performing the show and supporting with great production elements. Would I go to the PFE for $100? Nope, you'd have to be a very die hard fan to pay that for a covers gig.

$100 is crazy for covers band, Saw James Taylor in person for less than that.
Didn't realise you were from eclipse, seen you guys 2x at Blackbarn and had an awesome experience both times, Dragged a lot of friends along 2nd time and all were amazed.
Would go again in a heartbeat,Big props to you guys
Super professional for an outdoor gig.
Kudos

Cheers! Thanks for coming along. Should be some more gigs later in the year, there's talk of a run of indoor shows
