Let's face it. Roth would just be an embarrassment.

Well yes, but isn't this beside the point, it wasn't a normal band where you can just replace the singer and so forth, it's a solo album

Based on Internet reports, the show got stopped by the fire department before the band took the stage :(. A 'big surprise' was announced beforehand, speculation was Roth was there and going to sing.

I must be in the minority but I like DLR esp. in Van Halen. Rock was trying to be so serious in the mid '80's and DLR came along with that album and made it fun again, one of my favourite 80's albums.
Tube amp and guitar tones straight from 1958… amazing how believable the sounds were back then, even without the modellers...

Saw an interview where he talked about becoming a paramedic and the weird situation where he encountered a fan. The guy was being treated in the ambulance suddenly realised the bloke doing the treatment was Dave Lee Roth.

Now I see the album cover I remember Skyscraper... I'll have to get these again as I sold all my vinyl years back.

A mate played me 'Just like paradise' and I felt like cranking one out :) Hadn't heard anything so great ever! Bought the album, and listened to just a gigolo. felt like stamping it into the ground.

Funnily enough, Just a Gigolo is now my favourite track. Not as good as the Louis Prima version he covered almost note for note, but yeah!

louis prima was awesome, he ended up doing endless vegas shows sadly (or not, it paid the rent) and of course royalties from being the king of the swingers....the jungle vip
