A sixty ton angel falls to the earth is probably one of the most perfect sentences ever written.
I don't know why.

Re: Rig Rundown
Not quite a rig rundown, but what a cool job Daniel from The Gig Rig has!

wow that Richard Fortus has some unusual guitars, those maple tops that are just floating and his description about fender having the pickup sloping the wrong way and the reverse headstock giving different tensions was really interesting
kinda makes sense now with hendrixs use or a 38 for low E as he was upside down

Not sure I'd say that. They both sound great to me!jeremyb wrote: The Boss must be a bit warmer than the Sterilemon perhaps?
The DD500 is certainly more flexible/versatile though.

Re: Rig Rundown
that was the reason Jake E Lee slanted his neck and bridge pick ups as well....he basically said hendrix's tone was killer and he put it in part to the pick up being the opposite angel to "normal". Having build 2 guitars with pick ups angles the same as jakes I can confirm it makes them sound better to my ear and what I likekwhelan wrote:fender having the pickup sloping the wrong way

Yeah, I have read & heard people explain the differences. Always made sense to me that the bridge pickup should probably be angled opposite to what Fender decided upon.willow13 wrote:that was the reason Jake E Lee slanted his neck and bridge pick ups as well....he basically said hendrix's tone was killer and he put it in part to the pick up being the opposite angel to "normal".
