The one I've always wanted to see is the one with the crazy American guy that's made dozens of self-released, lo-fi albums. It came out a few years ago. I can never remember what it's called though.

The Devil And Daniel Johnston?

I've seen it, it's definitely worth a look.

Daniel Johnston? Someone did a film about him called 'The Devil and Daniel Johnston'. A lot of his stuff is really good and really weird, I have a friend that did an EP with him, would have been a great experience

Anyway, thanks to you both. I saw a review on it when it came out and always thought it looked like a cool doco. Could never remember his name though. Now I have this thread to remind me.

The Journey doco on Netflix is pretty great and I knew about two Journey songs total before watching that!

Some of my other favourites are End of the Century (Ramones), Beware of Mr Baker (Ginger Baker), A Band Called Death and Heavy Metal Parking Lot

Early Tubeway Army and then the 1st couple of Numan records were great. Telekon , Pleasure Principle and Living Ornaments my all time super Faves. Must check those docos out ! Hes a cool dude Gary Numan is. Had his own fighter jet at one stage ?

Listening to RNZ today. They were talking bout the Wrecking Crew doco. Looks very good too.

The Tom Petty doco on Netflix is worth every second of the 4hr runtime. Thoroughly recommend.

Ok cool. Must re-visit ,JB. Been a while.
I was about 13 when I heard "Cars" for the 1st time. Was totally hooked after that. The music just spoke to me. It just talked my language. All those Moogs and crazy keyboards. I litterary wore out those 4 lps. God I might have to go utube a bit of "Down in the Park" right now !
