Because $995 was "too much"

The pain of this decision still haunts me

Oh man, the pain - I feel it.

What happened to CJ's anyway?

Charlie lives on Jellicoe St/Pine Ave
What's the chances bro

It's now music works down by south city, haven't seen Charlie in there for ages but he still owns it AFAIK :)

Mike (Victor) is back there , he's opened up a band space in Sydenham which I'm hoping to have a bo peep,at in the next 4 weeks

Should that be suitable I'm hoping to have NZG Jamfest there

No, Tim had a 4001. He probably still has it. I'm pretty sure this 4000 belonged to Geoff from the Mockers & the Dabs before that. I messaged him with the links (he lives in London now) and he's pretty sure it was his. Would be keen to have it back of course...

I'd better pick a guitar up for the first time in 2018 then...

Seller withdraws both auctions after Bronze questions authenticity of seller.

Wow. I'd love to know if the 2 issues are connected or they sold elsewhere.

Fwiw the Tele would of been a refinish? Your opinion?

I'm really not sure. I don't think I've ever seen one in that colour before. I thought the questions that were asked were fair. An explanation was needed. The seller had put his mob number up (before that was removed) so it's possible that they will find an owner (or owners) outside of TM anyway. Was interested in the Tele bass, but then saw the Ricky and got severe GAS. If it's in NZ then it would be the bass I think it is, but if it's overseas, who knows.

Loved the Dabs, great band. :-)

Clear Jam influence with the Dabs

Yep I definitely would like to know what happened with those auctions. I might hit Bronze up I've got his email somewhere.

Nah, I spoke to Geoff about it. It's definitely his bass, but also feels that the price is a bit steep. C'est la vie.

Nice bass to have, unlikely it would be you're number one.

True. I have a Ricky 4003 and whilst I love a lot about it, it's hard to view that as my number 1. Jazz bass actually :-)
