Ludicrous cheap Steinberger on TM IIRC $1600Single coil wrote:Foolishly started looking at headless basses.
Man.
I think a student wants that as a lesson. Those guys and another band of young jazzers influenced by hip-hop who's name of course escapes me are very fashionable at Jazz schooljeremyb wrote:This makes me want to learn bass!
God I really miss my Wal basses....foal30 wrote:Apparently "Too Shy" by Kajagoogoo was recorded on a Wal not a MusicMan as I always thought/assumed.

Fretless Boner on standby. You asked for Jazz
Grants got a Wal in the "Mr Moon" video IIRCsmallface wrote:God I really miss my Wal basses....foal30 wrote:Apparently "Too Shy" by Kajagoogoo was recorded on a Wal not a MusicMan as I always thought/assumed.
Pretty sure that Grant Fell (RIP) ended up with my first one. I know the guy who has my 2nd one. When he bought it someone had swapped out the Wal preamp in favour of a Bartolini preamp which was a shame. Spoke to a mutual friend on the weekend and I understand the owner is looking to put the Wal preamp back in. A good move I reckon.

Bright and bold. Sounds good!
Should have had a headless bass for a headless chicken!foal30 wrote:Grants got a Wal in the "Mr Moon" video IIRCsmallface wrote:God I really miss my Wal basses....foal30 wrote:Apparently "Too Shy" by Kajagoogoo was recorded on a Wal not a MusicMan as I always thought/assumed.

Caught them live a few times, Stunt Clown is a fucking great record.
I’m clearly way out of the Nz music scene.jeremyb wrote:Should have had a headless bass for a headless chicken!foal30 wrote:Grants got a Wal in the "Mr Moon" video IIRCsmallface wrote:
