BASS: oh, cliche topic - what picks do you use!

I’ve just started playing bass again and I’m trying to use fingers. So hard to get a consistent tone with different length fingers!! I see lots of practice needed.
They keep telling me tone is in the fingers, but I have yet to see a "look at my fingers" thread.

Thats why many use a compressor

Yep I have a few of them, but hopefully I can improve technique as there is a tone difference as well as volume.
