Looking for people to jam with - Waikato

Post by stratkiwi »

Looking for a couple of people to jam with my son and I, My 18 year old son is a drummer and all I am good for is rhythm stuff so would love to have someone that can do some lead guitar stuff and another that can play bass. we do mess about with a bit of Eric Clapton, AC/DC , Jimi Hendrix, Dragon, Doors etc. Also you must be able to tolerate an old fart that is relearning everything he forgot 20 years ago and an 18 year old that is still learning various drum scores (along with our giving each other crap about him not wanting to learn white room on the drums)

Good on ya for doing this with your son.

Absolutely it is good quality father son time and ideally we really need to be jamming with others as well to keep the motivation up and be able to improve what we are doing. Here is a video clip of our first time jamming with each other even though it is full of stuff ups we were having some fun doing it and I had only learnt the rhythm lines the week before hand, it may sound like crap because I was accidentally sold a vox stomplab for bass guitars (got the proper guitar one now) but I still had to give it a whirl lol.

Ok - first - clean up your fucking garage! Messy bastard.
Second - stop impersonating my puku!! There can be only one!

He hit a chord that rocked the spinet and disappeared into the infinite ...

I thought that he looked more like a Bass player
Epiphone Riviera P93 & EJ200CE, Hagstrom Viking Bass, Doubleneck bass/guitar.
Rivera Clubster 45, Carvin AG100D, Ashton BSK158.

We are still looking, been messing with a bit of the Ramones and Misfits lately and even my son has agreed that it would be more enjoyable having a bass and lead guitarist join in with us as we do want to be able to play live later on if we can get something happening . We are in Te Awamutu so if you live close by then feel free to get in touch
