Electromatic bridge upgrade

Post by tubeswell »

Arrived in the post today from Compton Bridges http://www.comptonbridges.com/orderinformation

My impression after 1/2 hour: miles better than the stock tune-o-ma-tic. Solid sustain. Chime. No buzzing. Good intonation. Smooth Bigsby action. Fits perfectly.

FWIW the customs note said 'US$40 incl postage'

Looks like a nice bit of kit. How do you go on with intonation?

If I'd held onto my Gretsch I was keen on getting one of those, lovely bits of kit!

Timely! I’ve been thinking about ordering one. Anyone got one locally? I had one but it has disappeared in a puff of aluminium
