Right, so: I couldn’t for the life of me sand the glue off. It set hard as fuck.
Had a bloke I know put it through a thicknesser - only half came out the other side :problem:
He’s managed to stick it back together in such a way that “there’s no way that fuckers comin apart again”; he is also priming it for me.

I mean - he’s got all the tools n shit and he’s happy to do it so rude not to eh?

More news when it’s back in the garage.

bit of a bump
There are still some that think the neck PU is moved to accommodate the extra frets which only proves they cannot detect the difference in length of each.

Right, got it back the other day primed with industrial grade joinery tier shit.
No idea where it came apart again - it has been repaired with tongue and groove so there’s no fuckin way it’ll break again.

Yes, there’s a hole that needs drilling again. Hit it with primer filler to try mitigate the super pebbly primer. Mostly worked.

This should do the trick.

Image

Textured finish with the black over it. Kinda groovy.

And now we wait the 4 days for that to cure, then I can do the back.

Paint is all cured and came up surprisingly good.
Will reassemble and set up once the bikes mostly dealt to - kinda worn out over the dot, ugh.

Decided to give it to a friend of mine; someone she knows has hodgkins (?) which is particularly nasty. The family are running a series of silent auctions so they can pay for this poor blokes treatment. He’s 27 (my age) and I think he’s just had his first shot of chemo.

It’s not much but it’s what I’ve got at the mo eh.

Good on you for helping. Every little bit plus the act of kindness will mean a lot to them.

Possibly non-hodgkins lymphoma. A good mate at work had 3 episodes of it, sadly he's no longer with us.

Good on you for doing what you can to help.
The older I get, the more disappointed in myself I become.

Couldn’t tell you what it is, but treatment for it is well into 6 figures. I mean I’d probably spend the sale price of it on booze anyway so ya know
