Ghost Blues: Rory Gallagher DVD

Post by WellyBlues »

Enjoyed this DVD biography. History and interviews. The added bonus DVD of his Beat Club sessions is excellent.

Well worth a look.

Cheers. Always up for a bit more RG. You seen the Whistle Test stuff? They did a special tribute show introduced by Slash (introduced to RG by his dad and a lifelong fan).

And not to make less of that, but does Donal not remind you of Father Ted?

Where did you find this - I'm assuming you watched the dvd rather than youtube? I'm drawing a blank on finding in the usual NZ suppliers.

Exactly what I was thinking !!

Really enjoyed that documentary as I've always dug his music, such a shame Rory passed so early. I think a lot of people assume that he died due to problem drinking, hard living etc and while that is partly the reason I do think it all initially stemmed from his apprehension to fly.
