We have nothing but issues with Dell servers we lease, they seem to eat ram and disks and CPUs and system boards on a regular basis :(

My experience with Dell ex-lease desktops as been very good. Try one of the local computer recycling outfits for a replacement fan, you'd probably get a whole chassis for next to nothing (remarkit.co.nz in Welly). I'd happily recommend Dell or HP or Asus (if you're building your own). Probably nothing wrong with Lenovo but I haven't gone there. Wouldn't touch a Toshiba laptop.
