I recently a/b'd my various d.i inputs and was surprised to find my Scarlett 6i6's are really terrible.
Heres my cheapest d.i (behringer mic100) vs the scarlett...
The mic and line modes on the Scarlett are fine.
Scarlett hi-z inputs are terrible!

Yep, they are awful. The mic pres are OK, but not enough headroom for my liking.

The scarlett ones clip quite quickly from what I've heard, people suggest running thru a separate DI into them...

Ditto, but Audient iD22. But I must admin I do have 8 channels of Focusrite Saffire for drums. Works ok, as long as I use mics with pads.

Still think the focusrite pres are miles ahead of presonus, btw!
