Ozzy and Judas Priest double bill. March apparantly
Who is going to go see Ozzy and Judas Priest double bill in March? I prefer Ozzy before Zakk and prefer Judas Priest's first few albums and I do not think we will get much of that. But I think I will go. The last chance to see some legends live perhaps. Still kicking myself for missing Black Sabbath in Detroit.
I have still not got around to seeing Satch. I was always at sea when he was in Auckland. Same with YJM. Satch is here very soon I think. Not sure i can afford it because all my money is going into computer parts for the next couple of months (seven years since my last CPU upgrade, so it's overdue).
I would really like to see Rainbow come here. I have seen some videos of recent gigs Ritchie has done with this young singer from Chile that does a pretty good job i think. Ritchie can still still play as well as ever. If it was a double bill like the Ozzy gig, then perhaps a good match for Rainbow would be Scorpions with Schenker and Uli J Roth. Dreams are free.

I want to go, but i am thinking the combination of Zakk's squeals and Judas Priest trying to be a modern metal band might be a bit much tbh. it could be a great gig, but it kind of depends on the set list.Bg wrote:No. definitely not.

Keen to go to see Zakk, but just had two big car bills so will see what's floating around a bit closer to the time.
Loving it so far

Few buds and I are heading along thanks to presales. Me mainly for Zakk, but looks to be a good night out all round. Def Leppard too!

even more reason to see them one last time...even better take the kids to see greatness because they will never see bands as great as this coming from anything that is happening in music nowOlderama wrote:They’ve all had it

We have been lucky to see these bands at their peak
Don’t get me wrong there are lots of new bands out there and I’d love to be proved wrong

Heck yer, I'm happy they are all coming back. Probably not as good as when in their prime, but I was too young back then so will be good to see them before the tours stop. Good to see an act in Chch too.willow13 wrote:even more reason to see them one last time...even better take the kids to see greatness because they will never see bands as great as this coming from anything that is happening in music nowOlderama wrote:They’ve all had it

I want to go just to hear Halford wail. He's still got it.
Saw Ozzy years ago at Rock to Wellington. He was ok, definitely not the best, Alice Cooper stole the show that night.
But he was much better with Sabbath a couple years ago, awesome gig.
