Re: Survey: PLEASE RE-VOTE How many effects pedals do you own?

The grid is AC (alternating current), it goes pos/neg/pos/neg... 50 times a second. Maybe an AC50 would help? I bow to your vastly superior knowlege sir. Just trying to one-up your clever quip of which you have many :) I'm not clever. I can't build awesome amps. And to prove my point, second...

Re: Survey: PLEASE RE-VOTE How many effects pedals do you own?

Better not try that tomorrow morning, you'll cause power cuts when the national grid is overloaded... Doesn't someone make a 'Positive Grid' pedal? Could be just the thing. Re: MikeC Sixty-One SRT

Well, an interesting chat I’ve just had with Bill, the builder of Optimus Prime. He’s been telling me for a while that he hasn’t got time to build an amp so was looking around for something that piqued his interest…we’re chatting away, he’s telling me about this amp he’s bought, then I clicked, it’...

My Strobostomp is finally here. It's the mini, not the HD. What a beautifully presented item. They must get their packaging from the same folks who supply Apple.

Re: Forums have been slow, how about a 'In the mail' thread?

Acquired a Fender Tone Master Super Reverb as part of a convoluted deal last night. Certainly looks the part. Jensen 4x10 and jolly light. Anybody tried one? Thoughts? 20240427_230136.jpg That's a huge amount of amp for the front room! I know the Tonemaster DR. Soundwise, there's no downside. If/wh...

Grotto1.jpg Grotto3.jpg It's hard, looking at this to see why it took every weekend for 3 months. But there was a deck and a jungle there before, the Boy now knows enough to do the next one on his own and I'd be happy for any chippie to run a microscope over it. Plus we had a great father/son summe...

Re: NGD: Gibson CS R6 Goldtop heavy aged

As a poor man's version (and something entirely more suited to Slowy), I anguished over this. My dilemma is I'm no longer in a band so I don't play much electric. But give me a blank sheet of paper and this is pretty much exactly what I would have drawn. I have no doubt I will hate myself for letti...

Re: What's on your work bench?

I don't know but it looks the same as an old Tokai Strat I used to own. I never got on with it but I sold it to a mate who happily gigged it for 20 years before replacing it with a Suhr.
